Not because of the chart or design, but because I just am not able to focus and make huge mistakes in counting which required me to either rip out the entire witch, start over, abandon the project entirely or make alterations. So I altered the project. I cannot say I am happy with it, but it is done. Will not fully finish it this year so perhaps by the time I decide what to do with it next year and I will not be so disgusted with myself. I may restitch it next year for Halloween and I really do like it.

Lila's Studio seasonal pieces

Autumn all finished. Hard to believe. In some ways time is flying by but in other ways it seems like we are going to be stuck in this 2020 rut eternally!

At least I have a finish for this month!

A Scottish Sampler by Downunder Designs

This is a design from 1990. In fact, the DMC that was pulled for it was still in the black paper wrappers. Since I probably would never have started it without the "incentive" of social isolation/quarantine I decided to go with the original 1990s colors and mark it with COVID. Not that any of us will ever forget this year!

I also did a little finishing I am so bad at it and I really don't enjoy it in the least. I am exhausted by the time I get one thing done. I don't know how all these stitchers finish their things so beautifully. I have watched alot of tutorials, but simply don't have the patience or the talent. I can frame things OK, but finishing all those cute this things....not so much. When I earn my next million I think I will have all my projects professionally finished.

I am going to be concentrating on a birth sampler for the month of September since the baby is due in October. I went through the silks I have and was afraid I did not have enough....I had none of the Weeks Dye Works that were called for, and the Gloriana Silks are not available (probably a good thing since they are so costly). So, I changed the red to GAST Buckeye Scarlet. I like it better but it still is not as rich a red as I would like. But I have several skeins of it and this is the odd dye lot that is more red than the other two so I am going to use it. The blue that is called for seems odd to me. I substituted 814 DMC for the blue in the rose and used Toasted Barley (GAST) for the vase and seats of the chairs. If I had it to do over again I would use a richer, darker blue. Then again, I am so bad with color it is probably better than I go with what is called for.

The Scotish Sampler

The colors are very "1990" but I am going with it anyway. The photo did not look anything close to the actual colors that are called out. It is quite a change of pace from all the brown and gold tones that many of my recent projects have included. This one actually has light blue and light pink.....makes me think of a birth sampler. But I do like it in a wierd sort of way. I hope to finish it this month.

Friends of the Heart

This project is a joy. Not sure if it is the design, the color, the fabric or the blocks of color that are so much fun. It is going to take alot longer than I originally thought but that is OK.

Victoria's Garden by Heartstring Samplery.

It is one of those where the border is not a set pattern. I am using the called for threads (I must have bought them when I bought the chart) which are a combination of Gentle Arts and Weeks Dye Works.

So, halfway through the year now I have had 20 starts and 16 finishes, some bigger than others. On track for my 20 in 20 goal for finishes. I must admit I am a little overwhelmed and need to stop starting new projects until I get a few more finishes. It seems fuzzy for some reason. I am not going to re-do it, but not sure which black I will use going forward. I am using basically DMC as I don't have the called for Gentle Arts threads, but am substituting a couple of GAST for the pomegranates because I like the variegation. Will be leaving off the wording at the bottom, also changing the house to make it look like her house and will be adding an animal or so and changing the horse to a dog (if I can figure it out.) I decided since it is on a 30 count fabric (it is coffee dyed so that "stain" is supposed to be there) I would use Sulky #12 threads. So the colors will be very different. I am not liking that yellow so I decided to do eveything around it and then decide on the color to substitute for "chamomile" by GAST. I am a little anxious about all the changes as thing usually don't turn out to well when I try to create my own color way, but we will see.

I notice you can see where some frogging has taken place!

Just an FYI....

If you have not ordered or checked our Hobby House Needleworks, they have some terrific patterns and they have 37 and 38 count fabric that is simply stunning. It is hard to believe. I say that every month...that it has gone by so fast. Truthfully, it goes by in its correct time; I just feel like I miss alot of it! HA

Am only going to post significant progress and finishes for a while. I look back at my posts and they look terribly boring!

Embroidery.com is having another "stitch 30 minutes a day" motivation thing for this month. I am trying very hard to stay positive and motivated and I am sure this will help.
FINISHED

Vintage Birds by Jeannette Douglas

This project was pretty "fiddly" and I made a ton of mistakes and did alot of ripping out of stitches, but all in all, I still really like the project. The colors are fantastic and there are alot of them. This is alot smaller than I originally thought it would be....good thing as I think I would have run out of patience with it if it were much bigger. I have to say that I am really glad I saved the eyelet stitches until the last. It was really nice to sit and stitch those.

I outlined my initials in the alphabet so I am not sure if I will put something in the "blank space" where the initials are, or if I will leave it. I kind of like the open space, but who knows what I will do by the time I frame it.
I hope you are well and staying safe. There is so much chaos right now it is kind of hard to concentrate on anything. I have sort of cut myself off from the news, posts about the news and folks to like to talk about the news. I think I am better off un-informed than ill-informed but who knows. Just like alot of folks, I am doing whatever I need to do to get myself through each day. Stitching, dogs and plants help!
40 Count Lambswool by Wichelt...DMC threads one over two. I have had this kitted for a long time and am really enjoying it. It is a relaxing stitch. Seems like I just thread the needle, count the row and get after it!
Am doing just the words for this piece as a gift. I am using sulky #12 threads in two colors. This is a piece of fabric that was purple. I am not sure what I did to it to change the color. Am using this for my "outdoor" project but it has been a little rainy for patio stitching lately.
I am doing this on a piece of 36 count Platinum linen that I coffee and tea dyed. The pattern calls for DMC, but I decided to use Soi dAlger silks instead and I am really, really enjoying it. This is not a large project (127 x 167) so I hope to get it done by the end of June (HAHA) . Was going great guns until I saw the one over one for the name and date...yuk....have to be in the zone to do that.
Am making changes to make the house look like the "house on the bend" and going to add "Est. 2012" along the top as soon as I get it charted. This is going a little slower than I had expected. This is on a piece of 40 count linen that came from Stitchy Box years ago and I am using DMC.
Finally finished completely and ready for framing.... I said I was using Raven, but it is actually "Black Crow" from gentle arts.. Because I live on a river I am pleased with the blueish variegation that this thread has but it does not photograph as beautiful as it really is. This is one of those projects that looks better than it photographs. I really like it.
I am have a lot of trouble getting into Hannah Longstreth. I think it is the fabric. I really like the NPI silk but the 45 count Jersey Cream just isn't working for me. So, Hannah is in time out. I may or may not choose a different fabric and start it again, or I may choose to do it on banding. I think I will take a good look at the pattern and see if there are any motifs I want to use for anything. But for the time being she is put away. I have not done this in a very long time. Giving up on a project is hard for me but I just cannot get into it right now.
I really had to resist tea or coffee dying the fabric ( 45 count Jersey Cream) because this project looks so stark. It is a departure from the other samplers I have been doing lately that are on dyed fabric. I have to say, so far this 45 count has been a real challenge for me. I am really enjoying working with the NPI silks. I think this would be even more challenging with cotton thread. I have found that I have to be in the "zone" to work on this and I have not been there for a couple of days!
I have been wanting to do this one for a while but I made some changes. Am stitching it from what I have on hand so the colors are different, and I moved all the words to the top. As with most of Brenda's patterns there are large areas to be stitched. There is a house on the giant flower vase and I am not looking forward to it! Doing this on 36 count Rocky Mountain from JuDesigns one over two. Not sure how I ended up with this fabric, but it is very nice.
Decided to put the "black" on this project. It is Raven by GAST rather than anchor or DMC. Somehow I ended up with three skeins so what the heck! It will be a good mindless stitch (as mindless as 40 count can be!). I am really appreciating the blue tint in the "Raven" thread. Not sure how I will personalize it at this point.
This is going well, but once again I am off in a couple of places by a little. I am leaving it. It is really a nice stitch. I decided to back stitch the letters in the alphabet for my initials instead of try to fit them in. As with most of her patterns, this one is so lovely, with lots of color changes that are somewhat subtle but really make the piece interesting once it is done.
Coffee Quaker by Heartstring Samplery

I started this (well, honestly I had two stitches on it) when I was putting the year on the project first....I was pretty ambitious back then....perhaps I will just note that this is the start date and put 2020 somewhere else on the project. The only thing I reallly don't care for is the yellow motif in the middle just above all the wording. It just does not appeal to me and looks like there is a big blank space. But, redo it....probably not. I am even thinking of spraying or blotting it with some coffee to darken it up a bit. I am thinking, looking at the photo, that a coffee ring on that motif (as if I set a cup on it) would be perfect. Yikes, what a thought.
Finish:

Out on a Limb by Scattered Seeds Samplers

This is the first of the Scattered Seeds club projects. It was a nice stitch, but I don't think I will make a pin keep. Not sure how I will finish. I will probably wait to see the other pieces this year to make a decision. That is the fabric that came in the kit for finishing, by the way.
Oh heck, I see a mistake.....lets just say it is a "customization". I don't like stitching words so I left off the "Little" that is supposed to go at the top on purpose.
Hanna Longstreth by Queenstown Samplers
May 1, 2020

This is a Stitch a Long with Gary and Vonna of Fibertalk. I wanted to do a silk project and when I learned that all the proceeds are going toward the medical school expenses of the designers Great Niece who is related to and is named Hannah Longstreth....well, what can I say.

The challenge for me with this piece is that is is on 45 count linen....hello magnifiers...and the motifs are spread out with nothin in between....hello gridding.
Not sure why this is taking so long. I make alot of mistakes and need to do the gridding for some of the upcoming motifs to try to mitigate some of that.
So, here it is:

A Perfect World by The Scarlett House

I changed some of the birds to match the ones in my yard better...and I changed the dogs trying to make them a little more like my own (whippets are hard to stitch I think)

All in all, I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I have ordered some overdyed threads in various shades of black to see if I want to do the bottom. It does look kind of bare without the bottom portion (where the large flowers are) being filled in. And if I can find one, I would like to add a couple of bluebonnet looking flowers to it since I have sort of made it resemble home on the river. The sentiment is me all over so that is why I stitched it.
I enjoy her designs because I usually learn alot of specialty stitches (or refresh them). Her instructions are very easy to follow. Most specialisty stitches I know I learned from either Chatelaine Designs or Jeannette's designs. This is not a big project so I should be able to get a finish in May.
I really like this project and I like the evenweave fabric. It IS 2 over 2 which I have been avoiding lately, but it is relaxing to stitch.

For a while I was not sure all this COVID stuff was affecting me, other than not being able to get bleach for a week or so. I am getting really, really disgusted with all the price gouging that I notice happening. I decided to start a list of folks I will not longer frequent due to their current practices. I am sure they won't miss me, but it will make me feel better. Maybe.

The other thing that has just started happening for me is that simple things like some DMC floss is really, really hard to find. I know GAST has stopped production. It is not that I don't have enough projects kitted up. I need to just be greatful for what I have and stop trying to support the economy by kitting up more and more projects. I think it is stress that is making me get ahead of myself. I am more than a little tense lately....need to focus on these projects and stop loooking for something else!

Our weather has improved and we have sunshine and warmth so I am sure that will be a help to my mental health.

That is all for now. Stay safe, stay well.
I am doing great as I am kind of a hermit anyway, but I gotta say my husband is not adapting well at all. He is such a gad-about that he is struggling. I offered to get him into stitching (I am not sure that would be a good idea for me in the long run, but whatever it takes to get through this!) but he is not interested.
It is good to be back on the quiet river with all the critters and birds and all. The trip out was a little strange because there was very little traffic anywhere and although the 18 wheelers are on the road, we saw less than a dozen RVs during our travels. Other than the few that were in the RV parks where we stayed, there were very few on the road.
Did get some stitching done!

We are in a mandatory stay home order here in Blanco County. Does not bother me in the least.

Funny thing......let me start by saying that my sewing skills are EXTREMELY limited. When the CDC came out with the mask recommendation I broke out the sewing machine and some fabric and thought I could handle it......boy was I wrong. I have something that kind of looks like it might be a mask, but it is pitiful. So, I reached out to my niece who is a great seamstress and made a donation to her household for a few masks.

Of course if I have a mask, than I loose another excuse not to leave my property! HA..

Stay safe, be calm and take care.

This was a nice stitch and I am really fond of the moderate sized samplers....Most samplers are so huge they intimidate me a little. The colors are a little wierd, but I find that with most reproduction samplers and try vey hard to resist the urge to change them. I am happy with the final result and just have to put my intials and the date on it and it will be ready to frame. I had to finish it so I could use the Omanik side bars on another project I am starting.

So, of course, I had to start another project; Isabella Uffindel. She is HUGE.....the chart is in 25 pages so if I complete a page a week I will have it done by the end of the year, which is the goal. I am using the DMC threads and 40 count Vintage Butter Pecan by Lakeside Linen. I have to say the fabric is just beautiful (at the price it should be). I went back and forth about whether to use the DMC or the silks, but it calls for so many colors that I was not prepared to spring for the silks for this project.
A Perfect World by The Scarlett House

A little progress on this beauty. Still enjoying it and still not sure about all the black at the bottom.....perhaps I will tent stitch it. The basket of flowers on the left is the top of the design. I always feel like I am close to a finish once I start the wording... Don't be fooled, there is alot to complete. There is alot of black on this project so I will probably change the birds to different colors. Already did a little red bird for the cardinals in the yard. And I changed the dogs to try to match the dogs that I have, and included my brother's dog, Maggie (the little brown one in front of the white house) who is always hanging around with us.

While I have many other projects I have been concentrating on these three for the past week or so.

Will be stitching on other projects that have higher thread counts during the trip. Will let you know how the trip East goes....have only one stop planned for fuel. We should be in Blanco in one week.

I have also been supporting local needlework shops because they are closed during this crazy pandemic scare. Am a little disappointed that I will not get to visit "The Attic" in Mesa, AZ, but perhaps in the summer or fall I will get another chance. Not sure I will post my crazy buying spree, but who knows.
Try to stay calm. I am glad we are going to travel for a few days because we are all going a little mental. Don't worry, we have lots of hand sanitizer, anti-germ wipes and even face masks ready for the trip.
Thank you for visiting.
It is good and bad. Of course I am bummed about it, but I am the one that needs the dematological procedure that is holding us here in California. Not because of the corona virus ....

What better reason to start a new project.
I have had this kitted a while so I am glad to start it. It is all DMC, 1 over 2 on a 36 count Parchment by Weeks Dye Works. Interestingly, I am finding the weeks linen very, very "floppy". Anyone else have this experience. I am enjoying it and will always remember it as my Corona start! HA
I am itching for a finish this month to stay on track for my 20 in 20 finishes. I need to dig out one of the many WIPS I have had going for a long time and get one knocked out before the end of the month. Lofty goal, but.......

I hope you and your family are all staying safe and healthy. One thing I cannot find is how long this craziness is going to last. I fear we are headed for a depression.....lots of folks already out of work, businesses closed, kids at home, store shelves empty and on and on. I would feel a little more positive if I were not in California, but what can ya do. On the other hand, avoiding crowds, staying home; my favorite things! .... I don't need to make up an excuse!
Coffee Quaker by Heartstring Samplers

I gotta tell ya, this project is really giving me fits. After stitching one of the motifs three times, I found out it was in the wrong place....so time number four a moved it to its proper location....then, as I was preparing for the far right motif, I discovered I had done the "problem" motif in the wrong color....I am leaving it and adjusting the colors as needed. Holy cow this project has become a pain. But I am sticking with it.
Once again I am finding the colors a little strange, but I am going to stick with it as charted. Sage green birds seem a little off to me, as to Red Rock colored squirrels!! I am enjoying this very much. I like that is not a huge sampler as some of the projects I have in the wings.

This is a long post with lots of photos! I got on a roll this month for some reason so I have lots to share.

Be sure to check out 2020 WIPocalypse: What do I listen to while I stitch? Flosstube and/or some movie or true crime show. And sometimes, nothing.

The Challenge from Embroidery.com was to stitch for 30 minutes a day (at least) and post progress daily. That has really helped me get alot done on my projects. I am going to try to continue the 30 minutes a day on a focus piece and see how it goes.

I have a goal of 20 finishes for 2020 so I need to average about two finishes a month. I am on my way and have several pieces that are close. Of course my goal of 20 starts is not a problem since I have so many kitted and ready.

Before I start, I want to show you a sampler that my Mother-in-Law did in about 1965. Thanks to so many generous and knowledgable stitchers on facebook at Sampler World, I was able to find it (found a kit for it on EBay) and found that the original sampler is called Catherine Ann Speel worked in 1805 and is at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Pennsylvania. So amazing. I just adore it. I also found that the Attic in Mesa, Arizona may have the reproduced chart. Might be interesting to do it if I can find the chart. What a wonderful family heirloom this is.

This is an on line class I am taking through Sassy Jacks. These are stitches in a Jeanette Douglas book made into a band sampler. I am too cheap to buy banding so I took a piece of fabric that was 36" long and created banding for it and am using variegated DMC threads that I have on hand. I will never use them for anything else. It is kind of ugly, but it is for learning, not display! HA
This was my 30 minutes a day focus piece for February and I am very pleased with the progress I have made. I am still on the fence about doing all the black that is called for at the bottom. I kind of hate to leave it off, but I might hate doing it worse! Perhaps I will tent stitch it??
I tried to do this little sampler with the DMC conversion andd the colors were just terrible to me. I also was getting a little "browned out" from the samplers that I am doing so I decided to dig out the left over silk threads I had from the Chatelaine and other projects that calledl for various silks. It is quite a variety of colors and I am just winging it. Now, bear in mind that I am not good at putting colors together so I am just playing with these threads. The bad news is that it has really made he remember how wonderful it is to stitch with silks. Especially with a single thread. Oh my how wonderful it is to have the thread just gliding through the fabric.....heaven on the needle.
And finally, I framed one of last year's finishes. I really like this piece and even with the alphabets (which I am not too fond of stitching) I did enjoy doing it. I left off the french knots that were called for in the skirt and basket of which is supposed to be donuts...looks like flowers to me. And this piece has a million "customizations" (my term for errors) but I still like it. I got the frame from Amazon.
Tis a Lovely Bird by Homespun Elegance
Doing this on a 28 count linen 2 over 2 using Gentle Arts and Weeks cotton threads. I chose 28 count because I wanted it a little bigger than it would have been on the suggested 32 count. Not sure why I don't have a photo of the chart, but I have already passed it forward. I also have discovered that a 28 count is really the only thing I can use for take along projects as I cannot see anything smaller. Old eyes or bad glasses I guess.

Even though I am not crazy about some the colors and have made a few changes, I am almost ready to finish this gal. Doing the 1 over 1 letters now. Have frogged the 1 over 1 about 4 times (not fun) but I think I have it figured out. I have also made MANY mistakes (which I call customizations) on this chart, but because I sort of lost the love, I left them in....note the two different size flower pots on either side of the center urn....oh well. I hope to finish it this week which will keep me on track with 2 finishes a month for this year.
My only "complaint" about theseh projects is that they are both 2 over 2 so I have to fiddle with the two thread issue.

It seems that suddenly I am using alots of Gentle Arts and Weeks threads which is kind of new for me. I usually do the DMC conversions but have found lately that the colors are really off. I am not so good at colors. And I have to say that I am not such a fan of the Weeks Dye Works threads. They seem to really tangle and knot more frequently even when I use a thread conditioner. I am going to try shorter lengths for a while and see if that helps.
And finally, I have some questions and emails about the frame weight. I showed the giant one I made (thinking that was a good idea) and now I have not only cut the size in half, but discovered that it was sliding off the lap stand because I used wool all the way around. So, my solution was to whip stitch some rubber shelf liner on the back and it works great. Also, with regard to the lapstand....I have a couple of different ones...they sit on top of you lap, not underneath your thigh as many people think. Hence the need for something to help it stablize.
I did not plan the color coordination for this show of the stand and weight on my lap, but I guess grey is "my color".

Of course I have many other WIPs that need work, but these are my focus pieces for the moment.

Thanks so much for stopping by. And thank you SO MUCH for all the kind comments.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Do do not participate in "swaps" because I am not all that confident in my stitching and I am certainly not impressed with my finishing....BUT...there was a photo swap that I could do! I got mine and here it is:
Isn't it fabulous. Lovely stitching and great "staging" for the photo.
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: "georgia" , "utopia" , "palatino linotype" , "palatino" , serif; font-size: 16px;">32 ct Ivory linen dyed with walnut crystals and DMC threads. I have had lots of frogging on this one. I started 1 over 2 (which I kind of prefer) and was not happy with the coverage, so I tried a couple of motifs in 2 over 2 and really did not like that.....it was also difficult to stitch for some reason....so I pulled all that out and redid it in 1 over 2. Much better and I am enjoying it more. This is a pretty small sampler so I am hoping to finish it this month.
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: "georgia" , "utopia" , "palatino linotype" , "palatino" , serif; font-size: 16px;">

So I am kind of changing it as I go. Who knows how it will turn out. It is inspiring me to start using the called for silks but they are SO pricey and my hands are so ruff I am leary of them. Time will tell.

Progress:

Easter Parade

This is a good stitch, but I am really not happy about how the variegation looks on the chick....I will live with it, however. I really want to finish this because I have another "smallish" project I want to start.....

Linen and Threads 2020 SAL

After starting February's part I decided I did not like the thread. So, I changed to another Sulky #12 called Parchment and I am much, much happier with it.

Yes, there is a 1/2 stitch mistake but I am not doing any more frogging....for some reason the first time I did Januay's part I did it without much trouble, but this time....holy cow I frogged for hours. So I am leaving it (for now, we will see how long it takes for my OCD to kick in!)

A Perfect World

I am using this as my "Daily 30 minutes" piece. It will take a while to finish, but I am enjoying it.

One more thing.....I have been trying to use the lap stands that I have (and I DO have a couple). I saw someone on the UTube talk about a frame weight....I had never heard of one, so I made one. I got a little carried away and made the first one HUGE....too big really, but it is a game changer with a large project on scroll rods. Am much more comfortable using my lap stands with the weight.

Looks kind of like a sea cucumber!

Basically, I took an old piece of wool I had (a sweater actually) and made a pillow....fill it with walnut shells. I found it was not heavy enough so I ordered BBs from Amazon and added them to it. Works great. Since it is so large I made myself another one which is smaller to use with my smaller lap stand that I am using.

That is the first part of February....

Thanks for stopping by.....
I found a WIP that I forgot about. This little beauty is from a magazine (probably Cross Stitch Magazine). I had been wanting to practice my backstitching and couching so here is the perfect little cutie for that.
It is on what I think is 18 count aida in a light mint green color. Not sure what I will do with it once it is finished but that has never stopped me from stitching something. I will finish this in a couple of days I am sure
A very small start for February:

S.L. 1862 Small Sampler by Lila's Studio

Done on 32 count Heritage Lugana from Picture this Plus with the DMC as listed. This DMC conversion looks alot different from the photo and is a little strange so far, but I am OK with that. I am doing the small just to see if I can to tackle the full size Susan Lynch.
Looks like I should make February the Month of the Elizabeths! I also have Elizabeth Mitchell 1809 by the Scarlet Letter kitted but it is so huge I am not ready to take it on yet.

Quaker Coffee by Heartstring Samplers

This is on 36 count Vintage Country Mocha

Friends of the Heart by Plum Street Samplers

I will be doing this on 32 ct Heritage by Picture This Plus. It calls for a 36 count but I think I want the piece to be a little larger and I have the Heritage on hand and need to use it.

"Smalls" ready for the needle:

Morning Walk by The Scarlett House

28 Count Storm rather than a 40 count as called for since I want it to be a bigger.

Tis a Lovely Bird by Homespun Elegance

On 28 count Ivory Linen mottled with walnut crystals

Stitch-A-Longs in 2020:

I am participating in the Linen and Threads 2020 SAL which looks to be a Quaker Motif sampler. We will see. I have done the first part so I am caught up. Doing this on one of the only pieces of fabric I thought would be large enough and am using Sulky #12. I am enjoying working with the Sulky...

I am also going to participate in a SAL with Sitching Mae (UTube). She is doing the Vintage Birds by Jeanette Douglas for her birthday. I wanted to do this project this year so I am going to hold off starting it until April 15 or so.

New Starts this month:

Easter Parade by Brenda Gervais, Country Stitches

This is a "rest" project for me. It is on 28 count Faerie Wispers from two over two so I don't have to have a magnifier! It is also on the small side so I hope to have it finished this month or early February.
Using threads as called (Gentle Arts and Weeks) and doing it on 40 Ct. Flagstone linen by Lakeside Linens (I think this is the only Lakeside Linen I own!)

I am obsessed with this project for the moment, but I must admit that I cannot work on it for very long. It is my first 40 count in a while and the first couple of days were a bit of a struggle. it IS getting easier the more I work on it.
Knot Garden by Chatelaine Designs
I am really pleased with how this came out. It is "larger" than called for because I used a lower count linen so not sure how I will FFO it! But I do like it. Oh, I changed the locks and arrows from 310 to 3799 because I just didn't want that much black on it.
I am doing well with my goal of 20 finishes for this year....if I average 2 finishes a year I will meet that goal. So far I have just finished relative small pieces (kind of like cheating) so I am going to concentrate on some larger projects to finish.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you are had a fun and productive January.
